So the other day when I all I ate was G.H. Cretors popcorn and almonds all day, this Beyonce related picture popped up on my Facebook newsfeed,
why yes, Beyonce and I both share the same 24 hour time frame but after sending all day stressing out about my exam and essays and eating nothing but junk all that, this really rubbed me the wrong way. I am personally not a fan of this motivational mantra. That if we really worked hard enough, we can be just like Beyonce because hey, if she can do it, then so can I right?! RIGHT?! WE CAN ALL BE LIKE BEYONCE! (Can you tell I may have been sleep deprived and was on the brink of madness?)
Beyonce is paid to shoot her music videos, I am not paid to study (I’M PAYING THE SCHOOL).
I wonder who does the chores at Beyonce’s place?
Hey if Beyonce’s hungry, I wonder what her personal chef cooks for her?
Huh, I’m out of household items … guess I need to take some time out of my day to go get those. Wonder if I’m bump into Beyonce at Costco buying toilet paper then waiting in a long line.
Sigh it’d be nice to have a personal stylist to take care of that aspect of my life…
If Beyonce needs to “fit in” a run, does she have to wake up at 4:30 am?!
Don’t get me wrong – I’m not bashing Beyonce, I’m just using her as an example. Her and countless other celebrities are always idolized and used to compare ourselves to. I’m just saying, we are not on the same playing field. Not even close. So why is she used as the bench mark for us ladies?
Okay, now that I’ve gotten that off my chest, I feel a lot better :)
Hope you guys had a better week than I’ve had! LOL
