Happy Thanksgiving to all my running Canadian pals reading this. I had a total food coma last night when my roommates made this HUGE turkey. My goodness I was in heaven. I was able to steal at least 6 spoonfuls of mash potatoe during prep before they noticed and kicked me out of the kitchen haha! Guess I’ll have to be running that off later!
So today I’ll be doing a quick post (my midterm is TOMORROW – cue panic) about what I’m thankful for – running edition! Since I’m pretty sure if I did a normal list it’d be way too long!
1. That I’m able to run.
I managed to bang out 15k yesterday as my last long run before the taper for this Sunday’s half marathon. Sure I’m achy and my injury isn’t all gone but I did it. Now all there is to do is resting up.
2. BlackToe Running
I could not have asked for a more supportive and amazing team! Seriously! And they carry products that other stores don’t have so spending time there pre and post run is always a blast.
3. Other bloggers/Instagram runners/my readers
It is SO easy to lose motivation once summer ends but seeing everyone posting about their runs, pictures from their races, having you all comment on things I post – that helps keeos me going! Knowing that somewhere someone is running or reading my blog reminds me that “hey girl, you better not skip your run” and I’m thankful for being held accountable!
4. Fit Approach and FitFluential
I am so thankful to be part of such a HUGE supoortive group. I’ve met so many other runners and bloggers through my ambassadorship and it’s amazing. Knowing that if I need help on something and help is just a quick post away is amazing. I couldn’t have asked for a more supportive community!
Okay I promised to keep it short and I am. I have a lot of studying to do so I hope my Canadian buddies enjoy their turkey and my American friends have a good Monday! Did anyone have any running related thanks they’d like to share??
