Monday on the Run – Feetures Giveaway!

Monday – Rest

Tuesday – Rest

Wednesday – 10k hard

Thursday – Rest

Friday – Rest

Saturday – 11k easy

Sunday – 3k easy

Last week was a decent week, my week’s mileage is I think it’d highest since my half marathon.  I’m slowly getting back into the swing of things! I feel like  Wednesdays are forever hard, I swear. The new group I joined is way stronger than I am so finding a pace buddy is hard; I hate having to make someone run slower than their pace with to accommodate me.  I barely got any sleep during the week so going at a 5:50-5:55 pace for 10k was killing me when it shouldn’t have.  However, I’m glad that I held on and finished it strong anyways since it’s going to help me become a stronger runner.  Sooner or later, what I’m feeling as hard will be my easy pace (fingers crossed) – I may not be the fastest or strongest but I’m definitely going to be trying my hardest.

Speaking of trying my hardest, the other day I was flabbergasted as I opened my gmail and saw an email from Feetures! They had wanted to share a video with me and wanted me to share it with you guys.  At first I was hesitant because what if it was a spam/phishing email – why get my hopes up?  But I was curious so I clicked it!

The video was highlighting the beauty of the sport of running and the moms, wives, and everyday women who have a passion for it (that’s me! I’m an everyday women!! lol). It featured inspirational shots of the women running the 10K and crossing the finish line, and I found it so motivational (have I mentioned I enjoy streaming races and stalking the finish line videos trying to find all my running friends?). There’s just something about seeing people racing that lights a fire under my butt and gets me all emotional.

I’m pretty sure I cried with joy a little when I saw a running friend of mine breaking the tape at the Canadian Army Run because just the raw emotional displayed on her face had me choked up!

Anyways, enough about me and my feelings.  Zooma and Feetures! Running has kindly offered to sponsor a giveaway!  One lucky reader will get 1 pair of Elite socks and 1 pair of High Performance socks.

  1. I agree with these ladies as far as the socks go. Love Feetures. It’s always inspiring to see people excited about running. Love the mom who gets up super early to get her run in, truly dedicated.

  2. Love the Zooma series (I am a Chicago Ambassador) and everyone is super friendly! I am a huge fan of my Feetures! No blisters no matter which shoes. Awesome. This video makes me smile and makes me want to visit Cape Cod to RUN!

  3. Great Video.
    So many women so passionate.
    Running/racing world is awesome.
    And this video proves it.
Ive never tried feetures but would love too.

  4. Great video, just as the girl in the video pointed out, socks do play a huge role in your running. It is not something that you think about until you make the switch from a traditional cotton sock to a performance wicking sock.

I’ve been a fan of ProCompression, CEP and Swiftwick – would be nice to give these a whirl too!

  5. If they never said it was Cape Cod, I never would have guessed it!

I always like when companies feature (or feeture hehehe) women with different body types and fitness goals. It would’ve been great if they had more diversity, but it was still a pretty cool video!

  6. I have yet to run a Zooma race! Props to all mom runners. I have a hard time fitting a run into my schedule. I cannot fathom how moms do it.They’re amazing!!

Carmy, thanks for the giveaway! I’m trying to host an on-going giveaway link up and would appreciate all the support I can get. You can easily add your giveaway and delete it when it’s over. If you’d like to participate, you can join here:

You don’t have to but I’d really appreciate it if you do ^_^ Thanks in advance!

  7. Great video! You know, I was never that excited about women’s only races, until I read some awesome recaps of Cape Cod this past year. I would really love to run Cape Cod or another Zooma race this coming year!
