It’s Monday! Can you believe that?! School is now back in session and I’m sad that I can no longer sleep in.

Wednesday – 11k
Thursday – Rest
Friday – Rest
Saturday – Rest
Sunday – 11.6k easy
Well last week didn’t go as expected. I got a massage on Monday because my legs weren’t feeling too well. Wednesday I had my first training run of the season did 3 x 1k intervals and clocked 5:31, 5:13, 5:05. Woohoo! I didn’t get home until super late on Friday and had to work an early shift the next day so I took some time off thinking I could do it Saturday. Of course that didn’t happen because what started out as a beautiful day turned out into a full on storm causing the sidewalks to pretty much freeze over! Which brings me to Sundayyyy! Luckily the weather was great on Sunday and I was able to get out but to avoid the puddles/ice/slush, I went to a local track and tried not to go crazy as I ran on their track haha. Unfortunately, my ITB started acting up so I cut it short and did 11.6k
I mentioned on Instagram that it is so easy for us to compare ourselves to other runners. On IG, I see all my friends running 18k+ on Sundays and it really bummed me out because I miss doing such long runs but I had to listen to my body. When it says to stop, I stop.
