Monday was a rest day from running so I hit the gym to do some runs. With my increase in arms the last 2-3 weeks, I’ve noticed a difference in my running. I’ve been struggling with my runs recently but I’ve noticed that my arms are no longer dead tired after runs and are able to carry me through (keeping up my form) when I’m exhausted near the end of my runs.
Tuesday I did an “easy” 8K. Again, I was tired. I haven’t been sleeping as much recently so I’m thinking it’s due to my lack of sleep that my runs recently have been sucky.
Wednesday was a ball of surprise. I was supposed to do 3K warm up, 2 x 5 minutes at 5:25 pace, 3K cool down. This would have been my second interval session since I’ve committed to stop skipping runs and I ended up doing the first 5 minutes in 4:55 and the second, 4:43!!!!! Whoa. Where did that come from? That was after eating 2.5 ice creams too! Ha! Then in the evening before watching a movie, H and I hit the gym for some arms. We accidentally ended up in matching outfits. Oops haha.
Thursday I was too tired after work to drag my butt out for 8K sooooooo I stayed home. #mybad
Friday I ended up doing extra hours at work so by the time I got home, I was exhausted again so that run was kind of horrible.
Saturday was my birthdayyyyyyyy so I did a quick full body workout at home before going out to eat and shop till I dropped (I actually had to buy a Powerade to rehydrate!). I ate a LOT. Below, I’ve linked to a vlog I’ve filmed starting Wednesday of every I ate for my birthday.
Sunday was 100000 degrees. Okay, it was 36 degrees (96.8 F) and I was dying. DYING. I ended up brunching then I headed to the gym to try to avoid running in the heat. I ended up only being able to finish half of my run.
Whew. This week wasn’t exactly the easiest so I’m praying by the time RunAjax comes around, it’ll be like 15 degrees instead.
