So in the matter of a few days, I went from wearing shorts to running in a winter wonderland! Seriously, just look at these photos!
Winter wonderland it is! I totally miss Orlando! Anyways, due to the snow and my fitness levels lowering from my recent travels, I started basing my runs on times and not distance. I didn’t want to stress out over if I was running “enough” so I decided to just go out for around 30 minutes whenever I went out for a run.
Tuesday and Saturday I took my run outside, but Wednesday, I made the treadmill my best friend. I made my way to GoodLife Fitness after work and ran a bit less than 30 minutes. I would have liked to have done more but I was pretty tired from work so I hopped on the spin bike to get additional cardio in! Sunday I decided to “try something new” and thought “hey, 20 minutes on the stairmaster won’t be so bad!” WRONG. I WAS WRONG. I was on level 10 and was dripping with sweat as I powered through the 20 minutes. So you know, there was that. I’ll probably do it again though because it was actually pretty fun!
Anyways, for my first few outdoor winter runs this season, I broke out my new tights from Sport Chek. Sport Chek sent me a pair of Under Armour ColdGear Armour Women’s Tights and I am falling in love with them. I’ve been on the search for a new pair of winter tights and I think I’ve found them! These ones have a soft, brushed interior that keeps you warm. They also have anti-microbial technology that helps keep your gear fresher, longer. When I first put them on, the brushed interior of the tights felt so soft against my skin and it felt cozy. Then when I went out, it kept me warm and toasty! I hate it when I go out in tights and the wind just breezes through your tights completely and it doesn’t even keep you warm at all!
Anyways, nothing exciting really happened for me last week with the snow. I pretty much barricaded myself indoors other than going to work, the gym, and for runs! I hope everyone had a great week!
