This week is my “back to basics” week. My gym membership is officially over and I’m not sure if I want to renew because it’s a wee bit out of my budget at the moment. This is my first time in my life without a gym! I had access to a gym in highschool, then gym access in university, and finally a gym membership once I had graduated to now. Not really sure what I’m going to do next but I’m sure I’ll figure it out.
Anyways, Monday was as usual a rest day since that’s when my cooking classes are. Tuesday was supposed to be a spin day but the weather was so nice (nice enough for shorts!) I had to cancel my plans to test a recipe and go run instead!
Wednesday I worked out with Canadian Olympic Gold Medallists Adam Van Koeverden and Jennifer Botterill! It was a pretty awesome experience and I was sore for days after the burpees!
Thursday was definitely a rest day after Wednesday’s workout and by Friday, I was still sore but managed an easy 5K.
Saturday H and I went to watch Power Rangers which I LOVED. I actually cried when they played go go power rangers. 10/10. Right after we spent some time watching a badminton tournament before heading out and doing some light hitting. I spent an hour and a half doing drills on the court and after a 2 year break, my body was soooo confused! My right arm is currently beyond sore.
Sunday I got to test out the new Nike Vapour Max shoes at the Toronto Sneakeasy on a short 20 minute treadmill run before getting brunch and icecream since we tottttally earned that with the 20 minute run. Ha.
