The last little while, I’ve been going “back to basics” with my smoothies. I had gone a little overboard a few months ago and bought all the ingredients and guess what – this expired before I could get to them! So I’ve been focusing on picking ingredients that while simple, will give me what I am looking for.
Here’s my most recent go-to smoothie that I blend whenever I’m craving a smoothie
Vega One All-in-One
- 20 grams of protein
- 25% of my daily fibre
- Omega #s ALA, antioxidants, probiotics
- improvement of digestion
- improvement for bone health
- delicious/sweetness for the smoothie
- vitamins A, C, E, and K
- 30 calories per serving
- no sugar added
- source of vitamin D
Other easy smoothies I like to make are trading in the mango/spinach for:
Tropical: tangerines, frozen pineapple, frozen banana.
Sweet but Green: kale, cherries, blueberries.
PB&J: frozen strawberries, banana, peanut butter.
Green Candy: green apple, spinach, ginger, avocado
