You know I’m a huge fan of smoothies – if I didn’t love food so much, I could probably survive just by drinking smoothies day in and day out! I use smoothies for a few things – energy boosts, workout recovery, and meal replacements. And if you’re anything like me, there are days where I just don’t want to sit down and do the research of what to put in the smoothie to get certain benefits (this is how I end up just dumping EVERYTHING in and hoping for the best lol).
So I’m excited to announce that Natural Delights (a regular sponsor of this website) as come up with a fun interactive smoothie builder for us Canadians! We’ve partnered up today to show you just how easy it is to build your own smoothie based on what effects you’re looking for.
You pick if you’re looking a smoothie for more energy, recovery, or a meal replacement and they have a list of ingredients you can pick to put in the interactive blender. You can pick boosts such as turmeric and cinnamon (that I never even considered using for my smoothies) to add in. They even have a little explanation of what each boost will do so you don’t have to google. At the end, they break down the nutritional facts for you so you know exactly what you’re putting into your body. Easy right?
To see exactly how easy it is, I decided to build my own smoothie for all three moods.
Energy Smoothie

- Blueberries – 1/2 cup

Supercharge your smoothies!
Overall, I found the interactive build your own smoothie to be very easy to use and I love that they break down each ingredient and their nutritional profile so you know what’s in your smoothie. It’s very easy to forget that smoothies can be quite dense in calories and I find having them show me exactly how many calories it is to be helpful in planning my meals for the rest of the day.
Out of the three, I favourite was the last one, the meal replacement one that I’ll be calling blueberry swirl! I love how thick and creamy it tasted from the peanut butter, avocado, and oats while the dates and blue berries giving it a kick of sweetness!
So if you’re in Canada and need some smoothie inspiration, check out Natural Delight’s interactive build your own smoothie for some fun new ideas! Oh and of course, make sure you check out my recipe tab on the right hand side too since I have a few yummy ones here too ;)
