Dear Future Self,
I am writing to you post winter run. I’m freezing, shivering, and I cannot feel my toes. My legs are sore, my knee caps hurt, and my fingernails are turning blue!
As much as I’m not enjoying running in negative a million degrees, I just want to say I’m doing this for you. So you have a chance at a PR in the spring and fall. So when the ground thaws out, you’re able to run faster, stronger, and better. I’m only hanging in here for you missy. I can give up and curl up in bed any time but I’m choosing to run. You better rock race season girl.
