Combine the sauce ingredients.

To a skillet, add sesame oil and brown the ground beef, breaking it up into small pieces with a wooden spoon as it cooks.

Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the pan.

Add the liquid that was combined earlier and simmer.

Add a cornstarch slurry and continue to simmer the beef until it has thickened to your liking.

Add the peas and mix to combine.
