In a medium sized bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise with, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Set this aside if you're not serving right away or layer it into the bottom of your mason jar.
In a mason jar, layer in the apple, celery, raisins, lettuce, and walnuts.
Keep in the fridge if you are not serving right away. If you plan on making this more than 2 days in advance, be sure to keep your mayo on the side to avoid your salad from getting soggy.
