Instructions
Cold Earl Grey Milk Tea
Prepare your tapioca pearls according to the package, if using.
In a pot, combine the muscovado sugar with 40 ml of water and bring it to a boil.
Turn down the heat to a simmer and add in the prepared tapioca pearls, if using. Simmer until the brown sugar syrup has thickened.
Remove from heat once it has thickened and set aside.
Add an earl grey tea bag to 200ml of hot water. This can be done the night before and left in the fridge to make the tea more flavourful.
In two glasses, add the brown sugar syrup, tapocia, and a handful of ice cubes.
Add 250ml milk of your choice to each glass.
Top off with the earl grey tea.
Warm Earl Grey Milk Tea
In a sauce pot, over medium-low heat, add brown sugar, milk, and 1 to 2 tea bags.
Simmer for 5 minutes, or until the milk has become a light brown colour.
Divide into two mugs.
