This easy Homemade Teriyaki Sauce is made in 10 minutes or less with simple pantry staples! This simple Japanese teriyaki sauce is one of my go-to sauces for marinades, glazes, dip, and stir fry recipes that tastes much better than store-bought. Here’s how to make teriyaki sauce at home!
Add all the ingredients to a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat then reduce the heat to medium and let it reduce for around 8 to 10 minutes until it’s thickened to your liking, stirring frequently.
Use immediately or allow the sauce to cool before storing in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
Notes
To cut down on the simmering time, add the cornstarch to the teriyaki sauce before you bring it to a boil.
