Ingredients
1cupblueberriesfresh or frozen
1cupsugar
1cupwater
1tablespoonlemon juice
Instructions
Combine blueberries, sugar, and water in a small saucepan.
Bring to a simmer for around 10 minutes or until the berries have softened, stirring throughout and gently mashing the berries with the back of a wooden spoon, spatula, or masher.
Strain the blueberry syrup so only liquid remains. Add a splash of lemon juice to the simple syrup and stir to combine.
Allow the syrup to cool, and then transfer it to an airtight container and store it in the fridge.
