In a bowl or measuring cup, combine the soy sauce, honey, orange juice, garlic powder, mirin, and cornstarch. Set aside.
In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat and add the diced onions. Saute for 2 to 3 minutes. Add the salt and minced garlic and saute for another minute.
Add the ground turkey and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, making sure to break up the pieces with your spatula until the ground turkey is almost cooked through.
