What Is A Compote?
Compote is a simple fruit sauce made with pieces of fresh or frozen fruit with some sugar that was cooked briefly. It is super easy to make and goes great with things like chia pudding, on top of ice cream, on top of waffles/pancakes, in oatmeal, on yogurt, and more!
What You’ll Need For This Raspberry Compote
For this compote, I used raspberries and honey so that it’s tart but still has a sweet note to it. In addition, to help balance out the tartness of the raspberries, I cooked the compote in orange juice. For an extra kick of healthy goodness, I added chia seeds as well! I love adding chia seeds to this as it adds a huge kick of healthiness to the compote. Chia seeds are a great source of protein, fibre, and healthy fats!
