Tips for Staying Hydrated

A few weeks ago, I went on a 7 day hydration challenge. After posting it, I had a few questions on some tips on staying hydrated so today I am delivering!

Tips for Hydration

Carrying a 1L Bottle Around

I have normal bottles and I have my 1L bottles. I am super lazy so I tend to be on the lazy side when it comes to refilling so having the 1L bottle with me when I leave the house means I’ll try to make it a priority that I finish the entire bottle (and refill it if I’m out for more than 7hrs) before I get home.

Drinking in the A.M.

Some of you may have seen this on my IG stories but I have a 1L bottle of water that I leave in the fridge overnight. Right when I wake up, I bring it over to my SodaStream and I instantly have cool fizzy water (since I find plain water a little too boring to drink).

Keeping Water Fun

Tips for Hydration

Fun things such as adding fruit to your water to add some flavour to it keeps things exciting for me. I’m way more likely to drink flavoured water than plain. Then add some fizzy water from my SodaStream to it means that there’s a good chance I’ll be chugging all of it! Here’s a fun recipe from SodaStream that will keep things fun while staying hydrated.

SORBET RECIPE
Ingredients:
1 L SodaStream Sparkling Water (your choice flavour)
Fresh Fruit of your choice

Instructions:
1. Prepare the Sparkling Water: Carbonate 1L cold fresh water with SodaStream Sparkling Water Maker.
2. Add the your choice flavour mix
3. Pour the flavoured Sparkling Water on a tray or flat-bottomed dish. Place in the freezer for 30 minutes. Remove and stir thoroughly with a fork and replace in freezer. Repeat this process for 3-4 hours making sure to mix well every time and scrape down the sides.
4. Put in a cup, add fresh fruit

Another recipe I use to keep water “fun” is making my own fakorgade with my SodaStream! It’s super easy

FAKORGADE RECIPE
Ingredients:
1 L SodaStream Sparkling Water
Fresh Fruit of your choice
Salt

Instructions:
1. Prepare the Sparkling Water: Carbonate 1L cold fresh water with SodaStream Sparkling Water Maker.
2. Add the your flavour of choice via fruit (I like lemon or orange)
3. Add a pinch of salt for the electrolytes

Ordering Water

While on the hydration challenge, I tried to make it a habit that I’ll always order a cup of water while I’m out for a meal. No soda, no coffee, just water!

I am so bad with drinking because I just hate the taste of water. But I have really been making an effort to drink more and I can tell because I pee literally every 10 minutes now. HAHAHA

I keep water next to my bed so it’s the first thing I do once I wake up. I also always have a Swell bottle with me. My bottle collection is getting out of hand. hahaha!

I carry a water bottle with me, and I have a pitcher that will infuse water with fresh fruit. I try to use both regularly, ‘though I don’t always do great. It’s hard! Ugh…

I need to remember to start carrying a water bottle around more often! I know I’m better with drinking water when I do but I’ve been a bit lazy with it lately.

Great Tips! For me, I force myself to drink 20 ounces of water each morning before my coffee. It’s tough, but it helps me get in my daily H2O!!

    Great tips! and GORGEOUS pics!!
I am one of those people who actually LOVE water. I pretty much don’t drink anything else.
I bought my husband a sodastream last year to help him get better with water and it has helped. Sometimes I struggle to remember to drink enough water, so I have an app I used to keep track, and I set random alarms on my phone to drink up :)
