This super simple recipe for Air Fryer Garlic Bread makes the perfect buttery garlic bread. Ready in 5-10 minutes!
This crispy and perfectly toasted air fryer garlic bread is perfect as a side for simple pasta dinners, to dip into sauce, or with a hot bowl of soup. I especially love dipping it into my saucy Instant Pot meatballs. They go so well together. Or just have this garlic bread on its own. Seriously, I can eat all of it by myself.

Why You’ll Love This Air Fryer Garlic Bread
- It’s super fast and easy to throw together, making it perfect for a weeknight dinner. It only takes 5 minutes in the air fryer for a batch, making it the easiest air fryer side dish. I personally make these if we are having last minute guests as they go with so many different dishes and really helps round out a meal without a ton of work!
- They’re freezer-friendly, so you can always have some ready to enjoy! When I have the time, I like to make a larger batch and store them in the deep freezer so whenever the craving hits, I just have to take them out and reheat!
- You can customize the garlic bread to your own tastes. Want it to be more garlicky? Go for it! More cheesy? Do it up! You’ve got the power to make it however you like!
What You’ll Need to Make Garlic Bread in the Air Fryer

Softened butter — I use unsalted butter, but if you only have salted butter, that’s totally ok! It’s not a huge difference, but I always keep unsalted butter in my freezer and just add salt as needed.
Garlic — You can’t have garlic bread in the air fryer without garlic! I use freshly minced garlic, but you can swap it for a few pinches of garlic powder if you don’t have fresh garlic.
Parmesan cheese — the more, the better! I like to grate my own parmesan from the giant block you can get at Costco, as I find it melts better. I don’t recommend using grated parmesan in shaker bottles for this garlic bread recipe.
Dried parsley — I use dried parsley because it’s a pantry staple for me. If you have fresh parsley, that’s a great swap.
Baguette — Sliced to your choice of thickness. You can also use ciabatta bread if you’d like!
How to Make Air Fryer Garlic Bread

- Mix together the softened butter, minced garlic, parmesan cheese, and dried parsley.
- Spread the mixture onto sliced baguettes or bread of your choice.

- Place the garlic bread into your air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Air fry at 350F for 5 minutes.

Recipe Tips
- Feel free to adjust the time to how crispy you like your bread. H likes his garlic bread closer to 3-4 minutes, whereas I prefer 5 minutes in the air fryer.
- This recipe was tested in the Philips XXL air fryer as well as the 5.8QT Cosori air fryer, which doesn’t require preheating. Preheat if your air fryer requires it.
- Avoid stacking these garlic breads in the air fryer, as you want them to be evenly toasted.
- These air fryer garlic bread bites go so well with my Instant Pot Meatballs and my Instant Pot Whole Chicken recipe.
- You can use other dried herbs as well, such as dried basil or oregano.
- Want to make this even cheesier? Add some shredded mozzarella to the mix before air frying them!

Make Ahead Tips
- Meal prep: store leftover garlic bread in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge. When you reheat the bread, don’t microwave it for more than 10 seconds. You can also quickly air fryer or bake the garlic bread until it has warmed through. Be careful not to overtoast it.
- Prepare for the freezer: once you’ve spread the garlic butter mix onto the bread, freeze them in a single layer. Once frozen, transfer them into an airtight container before storing them in the freezer. When you’re ready to enjoy, air fryer them straight from frozen at 340F for 5-7 minutes.
