Get dinner ready in just minutes thanks to this saucy Instant Pot Meatballs recipe. Cooking frozen meatballs in the Instant Pot is so quick and easy!

I’ll tell you a secret. In my fridge I have a giant bag of store-bought cooked frozen meatballs. While I love making my own meatballs, I like to channel Ina Garten some days and go “store-bought is fine.” If you’re in a rush and don’t feel like rolling our own meatballs then grab a bag of frozen cooked meatballs from the store and cook it up in the Instant Pot in less than 10 minutes.

    • Not counting water, this recipe uses two ingredients. Yup, grab your favourite bottle of pasta sauce and a bag of frozen meatballs at the store and you’re good to go.
    • Dinner’s done in minutes. I’m seriously. I pressure cook these frozen meatballs for 4 minutes only. That’s how long it takes to cook frozen meatballs in the Instant Pot!
    • These meatballs are great as a meal prep, dinner, or as an appetizer. It’s quite versatile.

    Plate of frozen meatballs.
    • Frozen cooked meatballs — I had frozen cooked Swedish meatballs but you use what you like!

    Make Ahead Tips

    • Meal prep: store the cooked meatballs with the sauce in an airtight container for up to 4 days in the fridge.

    Recipe Tips

    • This Instant Pot frozen meatball recipe was only tested in a Duo Plus 9 in 1 Instant Pot (6 qt) and cooked on high pressure.
    • Depending on the thickness of your pasta sauce, you might have to add extra water. I used half a cup of water with no issue.
    • You can make this into a “lazy” casserole. Add the meatballs to a casserole dish after it’s been cooked, top it off with some cheese, and broil it in the oven until the cheese melts.
    • Turn this into a meatball sub or sliders.
