A childhood favourite, these Air Fryer Corn Dogs are so quick and easy. Making corn dogs in the air fryer yields much crispier results than baking them and they’re made in a fraction of the time!

Something new I’ve been enjoying making is cooking frozen corn dogs in my air fryer. Growing up, I used to bake them in the oven and if I was in a hurry, I’d microwave them. However, they were never as good as when they were deep fried at a fair. Air frying corn dogs have been a game changer as they come out so crunchy on the outside and perfectly tender on the inside.

These air fryer frozen corn dogs have been my go-to snack lately after buying a large box at Costco. I just grab one from the freezer and pop it into my air fryer and in a few minutes it’s done. No more waiting for the oven to preheat and then waiting 15 to 18 minutes for my corn dog. Plus, the kitchen doesn’t get heated up with the oven on! I love my air fryer.

How to Make Corn Dogs in the Air Fryer

Two frozen corn dogs in an air fryer basket.
Two air fried corn dogs in an air fryer basket.
    • Place the corn dogs in the air fryer in a single layer. My model can only fit two due to the length, but some models can fit four.
    • Air fry the corn dogs at 400F for 6 to 8 minutes.
    • Let cool for 1 to 2 minutes before removing them from the air fryer basket as the sticks will be hot. Alternatively, use tongs to remove them.

    My Recommendation
This is the air fryer I use. I love how large this air fryer is! It can fit a whole chicken or 2 bags of frozen French fries!

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to thaw corn dogs before air frying?

No, there’s no need to thaw the corn dogs before air frying them. Just add them straight from frozen into the air fryer.

What can I serve with these?

I usually just enjoy these air fried corn dogs with ketchup or mustard. But I would never turn down these air fryer onion rings or air fryer tater tots if offered!

Do I need to preheat the air fryer?

The model of air fryer that I use does not require preheating. However, not all air fryers are made the same. If your air fryer requires preheating, be sure to do so.

Do I need to add oil?

Nope! I find that frozen corn dogs don’t stick to my air fryer basket. However, if yours tend to stick, consider spraying some olive oil in the air fryer basket before placing the corn dogs in.

    What about mini corn dogs?

You can definitely cook mini corn dogs the same way. Just air fry mini corn dogs for 4 to 5 minutes instead.

Do I have to rotate them?

No need to rotate or flip the corn dogs when you air fry them!

    Recipe Notes

    • I share a range for the cooking time for these frozen corn dogs in the air fryer as every model and brand cooks a little differently. I find 7 minutes to be the sweet spot in my air fryer.
    • The batter around the stick tends to be darker after air frying. That’s totally normal.
    • Remember, these corn dogs are hot so don’t grab them out with your hands! Either let them cool in the air fryer or remove them with tongs.
