    Easy Instant Pot Pork Tenderloin

Guys, I love a good pork tenderloin and because I’ve been obsessed with my new Instant Pot, I wanted to see if I could cook a pork tenderloin in it. I wasn’t too sure at first before it has always turned out so well in the dutch oven and the cut of meat being so lean could easily be overcooked in a pressure cooker since you can watch it and poke at it as it’s cooking. But after seeing all these delicious pork tenderloins being cooked in other people’s Instant Pots in their Facebook community, I just had to try it!

    So what’s an Instant Pot?

I have the Duo Plus 9 in 1 Instant Pot. The Duo Plus replaces 9 commonly used kitchen appliances – Pressure Cooker, Slow Cooker, Rice/Porridge Cooker, Yogurt Maker, Cake/Egg Maker, Sauté/Searing, Steam, Warm and Sterilize. It’s quite the multi-use product! Plus, because this Instant Pot Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin only uses one pot, it falls under the #OnePotRecipe category too! Minimal dishes! Win-Win-Win!

Tips on Cooking this Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin in the Instant Pot

Do not, I repeat, do not over cook this!! This is a beautifully lean cut of meat and chucking it in and turning up the pressure cooker like it’s a roast is not the way to go! Similar to a chicken breast, this pork tenderloin only needs 7 minutes in the Instant Pot. I stuck my meat thermometer in it and 7 minutes in the IP was enough. Pork Checkoff states that you just need to “cook pork until the internal temperature reaches between 145° and 160° F, followed by a three-minute rest time, and is a little pink inside” so if you are worried about the 7 minutes cook time, try it for yourself and stick a meat thermometer in it.

How To Make This Healthy Instant Pot Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin

This Instant Pot Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin is actually so easy to make – all you need is the pork tenderloin, some tamari or soy sauce, orange juice, orange zest, garlic, honey, cornstarch, and water! If this is your first time making a recipe with your Instant Pot (after your water test of course), here are some step by step photo instructions that should make this instant pot lasagna soup recipe.

Step-by-step photo instructions on how to make this Instant Pot Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin

step one how to make instant pot pork tenderloin's teriyaki sauce

Start off by making your teriyaki sauce by whisking together tamari or soy sauce, orange juice, orange zest, crushed garlic, and honey. Then set it aside for later.

step two on making instant pot teriyaki pork tenderloin

browning the pork tenderloin in the instant pot

Press the sauté button on your Instant Pot and drizzle some olive oil or oil of your choice in and brown pork tenderloin on both side.

step three, add in the teriyaki sauce to the pork ternderloin in the instant pot

Add in the teriyaki sauce to the Instant Pot with the pork tenderloin inside and 4-5 tbsp of water or chicken stock. Then put the Instant Pot lid on, turn the valve to sealing, and set it on manual to 7 minutes.

step 4 adding the cornstarch to the teriyaki sauce

When your Instant Pot beeps, your Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin is almost done! Do a quick release (be careful) before opening the lid and then remove your pork tenderloin. Let it rest on a plate while covered with an aluminum foil. Grab your cornstarch and add it to a side bowl of water to make a slurry before turning your Instant Pot on to sauté and whisk in the slurry. This will thicken your sauce. Taste your sauce at this point and see if you want to add anything like additional honey or garlic powder. Let it simmer until it’s thicken.

Optional: Slice your pork tenderloin and add it back into the Instant Pot to coat it or leave it uncoated and just leave the sauce on the side to dip!
