This Air Fryer Steak Bites and Mushroom recipe with a soy garlic marinade makes for the perfect weeknight dinner or as a meal prep for the week! It comes together quickly and effortlessly in the air fryer! This recipe features tender pieces of beef and mushrooms coated in a delightfully savory sauce.

Air Fryer Steak Bites and Mushroom
One of my favorite dishes to order at All You Can Eat Sushi is the garlic steak bites with mushrooms. I love their tender bite-sized steak coated with a savory sauce. The Japanese-inspired garlic soy marinade packs a punch, and you’re going to want to make this regularly!
I love using my air fryer for this as it really only takes 10-12 minutes in the air fryer and everything gets cooked perfectly through. This air fried steak and mushrooms recipe was originally tested and shot in my Philips Air Fryer XXL, but I’ve also made it in my new Cosori air fryer.
What You’ll Need To Make These Tender Steak Bites and Mushroom

For the marinade:
- soy sauce — I recommend using low sodium soy sauce to better control the amount of salt in the recipe.
- olive oil — I use olive oil, but you can use any neutral oil, such as avocado oil.
- garlic — the more garlic, the better!
- salt & pepper
For the steak and mushrooms:
- steak — I use sirloin steak in my recipe, but you can also use ribeye, tri-tip, or skirt steak.
- mushrooms — I use baby bella mushrooms but feel free to swap for white mushrooms or even shiitake mushrooms.
- olive oil — I use olive oil, but you can use any neutral oil, such as avocado oil.
- salt — I almost always use kosher salt for all my recipes unless specified otherwise.

Tips and Notes on Making This Air Fryer Steak Bite Recipe
- Want to prep this recipe ahead of time? In a freezer friendly ziploc bag, add in the marinade and steak and freeze. Thaw in the fridge overnight before making the recipe.
- I like to serve this alongside jasmine rice – other ideas include sesame noodles, mashed potatoes, or roasted Brussels sprouts.
- If you are meal prepping and don’t want the rice/carb mixing with your steak, you can get containers that have dividers to keep them apart! This air fryer beef and mushrooms keeps well for up to 4 days in the fridge.
