    Made in a few short minutes, these homemade Air Fryer Croutons are flavourful, crispy, and perfectly seasoned! Air fried in less than 10 minutes, these air fryer sourdough croutons make for a great addition to salads, soups, or even as a snack.

    I am obsessed with these herby air fryer croutons. I’ve been on a sourdough kick lately so I always have a loaf in the kitchen and I’ve been loving making these air fryer croutons with leftovers. They’re so flavourful, crunchy on the outside, slightly soft on the inside, and so easy to eat an entire batch by yourself. Here’s how to make croutons in the air fryer.

    Why You’ll Love This Air Fryer Recipe

    • It comes together in less than 10 minutes! Who doesn’t love that? It’ll take a little longer if you’re slow at cutting your bread but then the hardest part is behind you.
    • It’s the perfect addition to anything. While I love these croutons on soups and salads, I enjoy snacking on them as well. They’re so addictive!
    • They taste much better than the store-bought versions without a lot of effort! Their texture is amazing!

    Ingredients You’ll Need

    Ingredients needed to make air fryer croutons.
    • sourdough bread — croutons are perfect for when you have slightly stale bread hanging around the house. I love using sourdough for this as it adds an extra tangy taste. Plus, they’re quick thick and sturdy.
    • oil — I use olive oil to crisp up the croutons but you can use any oil of your choice. Even flavoured oil!
    • seasoning — I seasoned my air fryer croutons with garlic powder and onion powder.
    • fresh herbs — I use a combination of rosemary and thyme but feel free to switch things around or use dried herbs instead.

    How to Make Air Fryer Croutons

    • In a large bowl, toss together the cubed bread, oil, garlic powder, onion powder, rosemary, and thyme.

    • Transfer to the air fryer basket and air fry for 5 to 7 minutes at 375F, depending on how crispy you prefer your croutons.

    Recipe Tips and Notes

    • I like to line my air fryer basket with parchment as it keeps the herbs from falling through to the bottom. I love how crispy the herbs get and it’s a waste when they fall through!
    • If you do not have sourdough bread, you can swap for French bread, challah, brioche, milk bread, or any type of bread you have on hand.
