No yeast, no problem! With only a couple of ingredients, you can make these super easy flavourful Air Fryer Bagels at home!

Bagels in Under 30 Minutes
I’m one of those people that will buy bread when it goes on sale but can never finish it before it goes bad! So I’ve just started making my own bread to avoid that food waste.
Lately, I’ve been craving bagels so I thought I’d just make my own! Especially because I had just stocked up on Everything Bagel Seasoning from Costco! These bagels are super easy to make as well as scaling up and scaling down. I do a 1:1 ratio of flour to greek yogurt.

What You’ll Need To Make Bagels in the Air Fryer
- flour – I used plain all purple bleached white flour. nothing fancy.
- greek yogurt
- baking powder
- salt
- garlic powder
- onion powder
- egg
- seasoning of choice: Everything Bagel Seasoning

How to Make Bagels in the Air Fryer
- Combine the flour, greek yogurt, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, with 2 tbsp of water in a large mixing bowl.

- Mix with a machine (I use a KitchenAid) or by hand, until the dough is well combined. The dough will be thick and a little tacky.

- On a floured surface, cut the dough into 8 even pieces. I cut mine in half, then halved those halves twice.

- Roll out each of the pieces into approximately 8-8.5 inch long logs before pinching the ends together into a loop/bagel shape.

- Brush the top of the bagels with a beaten egg and sprinkle on top the seasoning of your choice.

- Bake in the air fryer for 12 minutes at 350F.

- Let cool before enjoying!

Storage tips
- I recommend eating these bagels as soon as possible. They keep for 2-3 days maximum in an airtight container.
- I’ve frozen bagels in the past for up to 3 months but haven’t tried with these ones, however, I don’t see why it wouldn’t work! If you try it, please let me know!
More tips on Air Fryer Bagels
- This recipe was only testing in the Philips XXL air fryer.
- If you want to toast these air fryer bagels in the air fryer, slice them in half, spray with some olive oil, and bake it cut-side up in the air fryer for 2-3 minutes at 350F.
- For extra flavour, you can even add dried herbs to the dough. I like dried basil.
- While I sprinkle my Everything Bagel Seasoning on top of my bagels, if you want a more dense topping, you can always do the egg wash and then dunk the bagel into a bowl of the seasoning to get more of the bagel covered. I find this method to be a little wasteful as I can’t reuse the seasoning after it’s come in contact with raw egg and the method works best when there’s a lot of it to be put into.
- Unfortunately, I haven’t had much luck adapting these bagels in the oven even with a high temperature and timing, the insides come out under. I recommend only making these in the air fryer.
Bagel Topping Ideas
- poppy seeds
- white sesame seeds
- shredded cheese
- cinnamon sugar

Tried this receipe and dough was too wet and could not roll it. Just put small amounts on parchment paper and air fried them. Not very good. What can I do to make these bagels.
Carmy
Hi Joanne, did you change anything in the ingredients? I’ve made this multiple times as written and have never had the dough become too wet. The photos in the post show how my dough always looks.
Hina
Hi Carmy, when you use your kitchenaid to mix the dough, do you use the dough hook attachment or paddle attachment? Thanks.
Carmy
Hi Hina, I used my Spiral Dough Hook.
Rob
Thanks for the recipe!!!!!
