    What is CAULILINI® baby cauliflower?

    When I saw that Mann’s Fresh Vegetables was selling CAULILINI® baby cauliflower, I knew I had to get my hands on them! They are so cute and I felt that they would make for such a gorgeous side dish for the holidays!

    So what exactly is CAULILINI® baby cauliflower? CAULILINI® baby cauliflower are baby cauliflower that are an Asian-style variety. CAULILINI® baby cauliflower features long edible stems and blonde, open florets. They are entirely edible – from flower to stem – and has a stalk that turns bright green when cooked.

    CAULILINI® baby cauliflower is also rich in fiber, vitamins B6 and C, and potassium! You can stir fry, steam, or grill your CAULILINI® baby cauliflower! Today, I’ll be showing you how to roast CAULILINI® baby cauliflower with 2 different flavour profiles.

    What is Caulilini?

    How Do CAULILINI® baby cauliflower Taste?

    As Mann’s Fresh Vegetable’s puts it, CAULILINI® baby cauliflower are “sweetly delicious” in flavour, and their unique shape adds both flavour and texture! The stalks themselves are also sweet and compared to cauliflower, it as a whole, is much sweeter.

    What you need to Roast CAULILINI® baby cauliflower

    Lemon Parmesan: 

    • olive oil
    • salt & pepper
    • lemon (zest and juice)
    • parmesan
    • red chili flakes
    • CAULILINI® baby cauliflower

    What you need to Roast Caulilini

    Savoury:

    • olive oil
    • salt & pepper
    • chili powder
    • smoked paprika
    • garlic powder
    • onion powder
    • lime (zest and juice)
    • CAULILINI® baby cauliflower

    What you need to Roast Caulilini

    How To Roast CAULILINI® baby cauliflower

    • Heat your oven to 350F.
    • Grease a sheet pan, or spray with non-stick.

    For Lemon Parmesan:

    • Toss CAULILINI® baby cauliflower with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
    • Roast for 15-20 minutes.
    • When done, remove from the oven and while the CAULILINI® baby cauliflower is still hot, toss in lemon zest, lemon juice, parmesan, and red chili flakes.

    Ingredients

    • 2x284 grams CAULILINI® baby cauliflower

    Lemon Parmesan Caulilini

    • 2 tbsp olive oil
    • 1 tsp salt & pepper
    • 1 lemon juice
    • 1/2 lemon zest
    • 1/2 cup parmesan, to taste
    • 1 tbsp red chili flakes

    Savoury Caulilini

    • 2 tbsp olive oil
    • 1/2 tsp salt & pepper
    • 1/2 tsp chili powder
    • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
    • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
    • 1 tsp onion powder
    • 1/2 lime zest
    • 1 lime juice

    Instructions

    • Heat your oven to 350F.
    • Grease a sheet pan, or spray with non-stick.

    For Lemon Parmesan CAULILINI® baby cauliflower

    • Toss CAULILINI® baby cauliflower with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
    • Roast for 15-20 minutes.
    • When done, remove from the oven and while the caulilini is still hot, toss in lemon zest, lemon juice, parmesan, and red chili flakes.

    For Savoury CAULILINI® baby cauliflower

    • In a bowl, toss together olive oil, salt & pepper, chili powder, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder with the CAULILINI® baby cauliflower.
    • Roast for 15-20 minutes.
    • When done, remove from the oven and top with some lime zest and lime juice.
