This vanilla sweet cream cold foam is a delicious topping for a cold brew, an iced coffee, or any drink really. Why You’ll Love This Recipe

    • You only need three ingredients to make homemade sweet cream cold foam! If you’re someone who makes coffee at home and uses milk and cream, then you more than likely have everything in your fridge.
    • You don’t need any special equipment to make this cold foam. You can make it without a frother!
    • It’s sweet, creamy, velvety, and luxurious! I love pouring it over my coffees in the mornings, and you’re not going to want to go back once you give it a go!

    Ingredients You’ll Need

Ingredients needed to make sweet cream cold foam.
    • heavy cream — heavy whipping cream is key to making this sweet cold foam. It whips up nicely to create a creamy, velvety foam.
    • milk — don’t skip the milk! The milk will help keep your heavy cream from whipping into straight whip cream. The milk will help keep the foam foamy! Use 2% over skim milk, as skim milk will yield a thin foam.
    • syrup — I’m using vanilla bean syrup, but you can also use regular vanilla syrup. This flavors and sweetens the cold foam, so don’t leave it out.

How to Make Sweet Cream Cold Foam

A handheld frother in a measuring cup of dairy.
    • Pour heavy cream, milk, and vanilla syrup into a tall mason jar or glass.
    • Use a handheld milk frother to whip the mixture for 15 to 20 seconds until frothy and foamy. You will know it’s ready as the cold foam will increase in volume.
    • Serve over iced coffee, cold brew, espresso, or any drink of your choice.

How to Make Sweet Cold Foam Without a Frother

    • Add the heavy cream, milk, and vanilla syrup into a tall mason jar.
    • Place on the lid (tightly!) and shake until everything is combined and frothy.
    • Serve over iced coffee, cold brew, espresso, or any drink of your choice.

    Recipe Tips and Notes

    • You can also use an electric milk frother.
    • You need a tall vessel to froth the milk in, as the cold foam will increase in volume.
    • Any leftover sweet cold foam can be stored in the fridge for two days. While it’s best to serve immediately, you can definitely make extra and store it in the fridge.
    • Try using my brown sugar syrup to make brown sugar cold foam.
    • If you only have regular simple syrup, you can add a drop of vanilla extract for a little extra flavor!
    • This recipe makes around four servings. You can cut the recipe in half or less if you want only 1 or 2 servings.
