Creamy, refreshing, and sweet, this brown sugar latte comes together in a few simple steps. Hot or cold, this cinnamon brown sugar latte is the perfect pick-me-up. You’ll fall in love with this cozy latte.
If you’re looking for a new way to enjoy your morning latte, try this rich and creamy brown sugar latte! Made with a homemade brown sugar syrup, espresso, and a hint of cinnamon, you’ll love this easy latte.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- It’s so easy to make. I usually start my espresso while I juggle other things (like making my air fryer hard boiled eggs), and it only takes me seconds to finish it off.
- You can easily adjust this latte recipe to your liking. Make this dairy-free, more or less sweet, hot, cold, etc!
- You can use store-bought syrup or homemade syrup and make it ahead of time!
Ingredients You’ll Need

- espresso — I use vanilla Nespresso pods, but you can brew a strong coffee or use instant espresso.
- brown sugar syrup — you can use store-bought brown sugar cinnamon syrup or make your own. I have a brown sugar syrup recipe and you can add a pinch of cinnamon to it.
- cinnamon — if you’re using just plain brown sugar syrup, you can add a pinch of cinnamon to the coffee.
- vanilla extract — this is optional but I like to add a tiny splash of vanilla extract to the latte.
- milk — you can use regular milk or dairy-free milk.
- ice — if you want an iced latte.
How to Make Brown Sugar Latte

- Prepare your coffee. I use a coffee maker. Heat up or froth your milk if desired.
- Add the brown sugar syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla extract (optional) to a glass.
- Add the coffee to the glass. Stir to combine.

- Add ice if using. Add the milk.
- Stir to combine and top with frothed milk if desired.

Recipe Tips and Notes
- Starbucks has a similar drink (Iced Brown Sugar Oat Shaken Espresso) that uses oat milk. Simply shake the ingredients together in a shake or mason jar with ice and strain into a glass.
- Instead of frothed milk, you can top the latte with whipped cream!
- You can sprinkle a little extra cinnamon on top like they do at Starbucks!
- For a nuttier flavor, use nut milk such as almond milk or cashew milk.
- Don’t add too much vanilla extract, as the alcohol taste will be strong.
