For a refreshing iced coffee, try this homemade iced caramel latte! It’s sweet, creamy, and rich. All you need are four simple ingredients to make this coffee shop style iced coffee at home.
For days when I’m craving a sweet treat to start the day, I turn to this simple iced caramel latte. It’s inspired by one of my go-to drinks at Starbucks, this caramel latte is a budget-friendly homemade version.
Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- It’s so easy to make. I usually start my espresso while I juggle other things (like making my air fryer hard boiled eggs or scrambled eggs), and it only takes me seconds to finish it off.
- You only need a couple of ingredients plus some ice to make a caramel latte. It’s definitely more budget-friendly than visiting SB daily.
- Make this into a warm caramel latte by skipping the ice and heating up the milk! It’s such a simple recipe that you can enjoy two ways.
Ingredients You’ll Need
- espresso — I use vanilla Nespresso pods, but you can brew a strong coffee or use instant espresso.
- caramel sauce — I always have a bottle of Torani caramel sauce on hand.
- vanilla syrup — I use Torani vanilla syrup, but you can also use vanilla bean syrup! I’ve made it with both. For more caramel flavoring, you can use caramel simple syrup.
- milk — you can use regular milk or dairy-free milk. Feel free to froth if you like.
- ice — you’ll need some ice cubes to make an iced latte!
How to Make an Iced Caramel Latte
- Prepare your coffee. I use a coffee maker. Froth your milk if you’d like.
- To a glass or mug, drizzle the caramel sauce inside the glass and add the vanilla syrup.
- Add the brewed coffee to the glass. Add ice.
- Top off the coffee with milk, stir and enjoy. You can add additional caramel sauce over frothed milk if you’d like.
Recipe Tips and Notes
- Instead of ice, freeze extra coffee in an ice tray and use it in the latte to avoid it getting watered down! I do this with my matcha often to keep my matcha latte from being watery!
- Make this stronger by using less milk and increasing the espresso.
- Top the iced caramel latte with some whipped cream to make the drink even more of a sweet treat.
You sure can! Simply use decaf coffee.
