There’s no need to deep fry to get delicious Crispy Breaded Pork Chops! With the air fryer, you can get that crispy exterior without all the oil. Here’s how to make boneless Crispy Breaded Pork Chops in the air fryer!

Panko Crusted Air Fryer Pork Chops

Have you ever gotten a pack of pork chops from Costco? Boy do they pack a lot of pork chops in there! I’ve been pretty much making this boneless pork chop with no breading in the air fryer on repeat and after a while, we decided we needed a change.

So we broke out my panko from the pantry and decided to make a panko crusted version of my pork chops in the air fryer. I’ve made panko chicken nuggets in the air fryer before so I was excited to see how the pork chops would come out. Needless to say, these breaded air fryer pork chops did not disappoint and I’m excited to share them with you today!

Why You’ll Love This Recipe for Breaded Pork Chops in an Air Fryer

  • It’s super easy: it doesn’t take too much work to get these pork chops coated in panko and into the air fryer. It really only took a couple of minutes to prep everything!
  • It’s healthier: air frying these bread pork chops are a healthier alternative to deep frying them. They come out so crispy despite not using a ton of oil.
  • It’s quick: cooked in less than fifteen minutes in the air fryer and without having to preheat an oven, you’ll have these breaded boneless pork chops in air fryer for dinner ready in no time!

What You’ll Need to Make Breaded Air Fryer Boneless Pork Chops

  • cooking spray
  • seasoned panko crumbs – I use this specific one from my local grocery store. Panko is the Japanese version of breadcrumbs. I really recommend you get panko for this recipe and not regular breadcrumbs as the results will not be the same.
  • powdered parmesan
  • garlic powder – optional as the panko crumbs are already seasoned. I just like extra garlic powder!
  • egg
  • pork chops – boneless and excess fat trimmed

How to Make Breaded Pork Chops in Air Fryer

  • Lightly spray your air fryer basket with some cooking spray.
  • Mix together your panko with parmesan and garlic powder and set aside.
  • Beat an egg in plate or bowl large enough to fit your pork chops.
  • Dip the boneless pork chops into the egg before placing it into the panko mix, making sure to fully coat the pork chops with the panko.
  • Place the pork chop into the air fryer basket. Repeat with the 2 other pork chops.
  • Air fry the pork chops at 350F for 14-16 minutes, depending on the thickness of your pork chops.
  • Set aside to make a second batch if you are doubling it or enjoy once it has cooled to touch.

Tips On Making The Best Pork Chops

  • Don’t have seasoned panko? Make your own! Just add in garlic powder, onion powder, dried herbs such as basil, salt, and, pepper to your panko. You can adjust as you see fit. I love garlic so I tend to go heavy on the garlic powder. It’s a very flexible seasoning, do as you wish! (Example ratio: ½ tbsp garlic powder, ½ tbsp onion powder, ½ tbsp dried basil, 1 tsp salt, ½ tsp pepper to 1 cup panko)
  • I always use a meat thermometer to make sure that my meat is cooked safely. The safe internal temperature for pork is 71°C (160°F). I use this one that my housemate got from Amazon.
  • You can easily double this recipe. My air fryer only fits 3 comfortably so I’ll either make 3 or 6.

Storage Tips

  • Meal Prep: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Reheat in the microwave or toaster oven until warmed through.
  • Freezer: To freeze them after cooking, wrap each panko breaded pork chop in plastic wrap before storing them in an airtight container in the freezer.
