Easy Hummus Salad Dressing

This creamy hummus salad dressing is super easy to make and is a delicious healthy addition to your next salad or grain bowl!

3 Ingredient Hummus Salad Dressing

I’m kinda obsessed with hummus so this super easy hummus salad dressing is just another way for me to enjoy hummus 24/7.

You’ll love this hummus dressing because it’s so creamy, quick to make, and only takes 3 ingredients that you might have hanging out in your fridge already! It’s also a great way to use up leftover hummus!

What You’ll Need

  • hummus – if you want to make your own, here’s my homemade hummus recipe.
  • lemon juice
  • dijon mustard
  • plus water to thin out the dressing

How to Make Salad Dressing with Hummus

  • Mix together the hummus, lemon juice, and dijon mustard along with some water until combined.
  • Add more water if you prefer a thinner sauce.

Tips and Notes

This recipe is SO simple but you can change it up very easily. Some ways you can customize this dressing is by using a different flavoured hummus, adding in some minced garlic, adding in a splash of sesame oil, and more.

To make this dressing tangier, you can add more lemon juice along with the lemon zest.

Ways to Use Hummus Salad Dressing

This hummus salad dressing isn’t just limited to being drizzled on top of salads! Here are other ways to use it:

  • as a dipping sauce (like for these chicken nuggets!)
  • on top of a rice bowl
  • as a pasta sauce (sub in the hummus dressing in this cold pasta salad!)
  • in a mason jar salad

Ingredients

  • 1 cup hummus
  • 2-3 tbsp dijon mustard
  • ½ lemon juice
  • 4-5 tbsp water, more or less, depending on how thin or thick you'd like your dressing.

Instructions

  • Mix together the hummus, lemon juice, and dijon mustard along with some water until combined.
