Air Fryer Hard Boiled Eggs
Have you ever just stared at something and went “I wonder if that can go in the air fryer?” That was me with my eggs one morning. While I was meal prepping soy sauce eggs, I was trying to figure out how to time everything properly – we only have four burners and two of them were claimed by two stockpots while the other two were in the middle of making noodles and taco beef.
I didn’t feel like waiting so as I looked around the kitchen, my air fryer caught my eye, and the next thing I knew, I was putting my eggs in my air fryer basket! It was so easy to make and after the ice bath, the eggs cooked in the air fryer were so easy to peel!
It took me a few tries to nail down my timing for my eggs. I personally like them softer and jammy so after a few times of cooking them all the way through, I finally settled on air frying my eggs at 11 minutes.
It has officially become my favourite way to cook my hard boiled eggs now. It doesn’t require me to turn on my stove or bring out my Instant Pot. It’s especially great for times when I just want one egg.

Tips and Notes For Air Fryer Eggs
- I recommend you try with one or two eggs first before putting a bunch into the air fryer at once as you may like your eggs differently than mine or your air fryer may cook yours differently than mine. I used a Philips XXL air fryer to test this recipe, you may have to adjust your timing if you have a different air fryer/wattage.
- I use room temperature eggs – cooking eggs straight from the fridge will take longer.
- For less jammy yolk, cook for 13 minutes instead of 11.
- For meal prepping, store your peeled eggs with a paper towel in an airtight container. The paper towel helps absorb extra moisture.
