This orange mustard dressing is bursting with bright citrus flavor. Made with only a handful of ingredients, this vinaigrette is perfect for salads or drizzled over your favorite protein.
Whether you want to drizzle this orange mustard vinaigrette over some salad, use it as a dip, or serve it with some grilled protein, you will fall in love with the sweet but tart citrus flavor.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- It’s easily customizable! Don’t have an orange? Juice some tangerines or clementines. Want it sweeter? Add some honey!
- It’s extremely easy to make. All you have to do is add everything into a bowl and stir to combine. You can also shake it in a mason jar.
- It’s versatile! I love this vinaigrette on salad but also on protein and veggies! It’s SO good on grilled chicken breasts and grilled chicken thighs.
Ingredients You’ll Need

- Dijon mustard — Dijon mustard has a tangy, sharp flavor that also has a bit of spiciness to it.
- orange juice — you can use orange juice or juice from clementines/tangerines. I find that clementine juice is sweeter and prefer to use them when I have them on hand. I recommend freshly squeezed juice when possible for the best flavor.
- maple syrup — for a tiny bit of extra sweetness.
- garlic — you can use garlic powder or freshly minced garlic. I’m using garlic powder today.
- salt & pepper — season it to taste!
- oil — use your oil of choice. I like to use olive oil or avocado oil.
How to Make Orange Mustard Dressing

- Add the Dijon mustard, orange juice, maple syrup, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and oil to a bowl and stir until well combined. Alternatively, add it to a mason jar and shake until combined.

Recipe Tips and Notes
- Add orange zest for an extra boost of orange flavor.
- For a little bit of extra heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes!
- This orange vinaigrette can double as a marinade as well.
Make Ahead Tips
- This orange mustard vinaigrette will keep in an airtight jar in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. It’s normal for vinaigrettes to separate in the fridge. Simply give it a shake before you use it.
- If you use a high quality olive oil, odds are that it will solidify in the fridge. Not to worry, it’s totally normal! Let the vinaigrette sit out at room temperature for around 30 minutes before using it so it comes back to room temperature, or place it in a warm water bath.
